TPMS Information
  • The TREAD (Transportation Recall Enhancement, Accountability and Documentation) Act requires that 100% of all passenger cars, light trucks, and buses manufactured in the United States after September 2007 be equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system.

    Vehicles must be equipped with:
    • A tire pressure monitor in all four tires
    • A system that operates when the vehicle is on and warns the driver when tires are under-inflated by 25% or more.
    • A system that alerts the driver of a tire pressure monitoring system malfunction
    • A TPMS warning light that stays on until tire pressure has been inflated to vehicle specifications
    • A "bulb check" of the TPMS warning light on the instrument panel that blinks when the ignition is turned on
    • Vehicle owner's manuals that contain warnings about incompatible replacement tires for the vehicle

Bought a set for my Porsche to be installed in conjunction with new tires.  Great website, prompt shipping, and they arrived programed for my car.

5 of 5 It simply works ! May 25, 2022

Hi

Went to my local tire center and they said they didn't do Porsche as they didn't have the tools to program it. Ordered the pre-programmed from TPMS direct and went back to my tire center, they were sceptical, so was I but as Porsche charges $1200 I was I'll take the risk. First it didn't pick up the sensors  so went online here to check what I actually bought and saw then that I had to drive the car for 20 min etc. Guess what it works !!!
